Andreyev Lawyers third quarterly update 2023

The year is rapidly closing in on us, and the last quarter whipped past in a flash. It feels like only yesterday that we celebrated the success of the last financial year with special team lunches in Sydney and Adelaide.
Want to know what kept us so busy in the last quarter? Read on!

The Andreyev Lawyers team is moving and shaking (literally)!

Long time supporters of our firm will know that supporting causes that we believe in is an important part of the cultural fabric of Andreyev Lawyers. We like to be creative about how we provide this support, so over the years this has ranged from volunteer board appointments, pro bono legal support and sponsorship of events.

This quarter was no exception and to kick off, 12 of our team members participated in the 2023 Sydney Marathon a few weeks ago, our most gruelling charitable effort yet! We are so proud of our team, who raised an amazing $2,487 for Guide Dogs NSW/ACT. An unexpected perk of our efforts was that our team was invited to Guide Dogs NSW/ACT HQ for a facilities tour and pawsitively adorable puppy meet and greet!  We had a fabulous time and extend our gratitude to Guide Dogs NSW/ACT for making this a possibility. Keep an eye on our socials for our puppy snaps!

We were honoured to be a premium sponsor for the ABRT – Association for Business Restructuring & Turnaround Sydney launch event, held at the Fullerton Hotel. For those who don’t know, the ABRT is a non-profit organisation for the entire community of restructuring and turnaround professionals, acknowledging their experience, specialisation and vital economic contribution (courtesy of the ABRT website). Our very own Drew Craven acts as Legal Counsel to the ABRT Board and has recently featured in several media publications reporting on the ABRT’s efforts in pushing for improved standards in the insolvency sector and highlighting the valuable work ABRT does.

Don’t worry, it wasn’t just our Sydney office getting in on the action. In Adelaide, Louise Craven was invited back twice to the ABC Adelaide studio to share her invaluable legal knowledge on the airwaves. Listeners were treated to two segments with Louise – one on family law and separation, and the other on the ever-popular topic of employment law. You can listen to Louise’s interviews via the ABC’s website.

When we’re not supporting causes we believe in, we enjoy taking any opportunity to connect with each other and our valued network of professionals and clients. In Adelaide, we had the pleasure of being table sponsors at the recent Family Business Association (FBA) 25th Anniversary Celebration and Awards event for SA & NT. It was a wonderful celebration of the successes of local family businesses who contribute so much to our State and a lovely opportunity to connect with members of the family business community.

We also hosted a ‘smart networking’ event with the team from Letcher Moroney Chartered Accountants. It was a fun opportunity for our young professionals to flex their networking muscles and get to know the LMCA team.

Finally, we must extend our thanks to The Adelaide University Law Students’ Society (AULSS) who attended our office to provide us with a token of their appreciation for our sponsorship of the client interviewing and negotiations competitions. We can’t deny that sitting in the judge’s seat can be a lot of fun, so it was our pleasure to support up-and-coming legal students hone their professional skills.

And if all of that wasn’t enough, we officially moved offices in Sydney! We couldn’t have done it without our amazing BOTs (Business Operations Talent). Check out some snaps of our new office and its fabulous views here. Caution is advised for anybody with a fear of heights!

Celebrating our team

Last quarter, we celebrated the admission of Lucy Bowler and Edward De Luca, who are now graduate solicitors. We also welcomed Jodie Kerr to the team, who has hit the ground running in Sydney.

Lucy, Ed and Jodie are looking forward to providing our valued clients with advice and support when legal issues arise in life or business.

A special congratulations to Maryke who has recently welcomed a new addition to her family. We wish the McPherson family all the best during this special time and look forward to welcoming Maryke back to the office later in 2024.

Until next time

Christmas is just around the corner, and our next update on life at Andreyev Lawyers will be in our annual wrap-up newsletter. We are looking forward to reflecting on the highlights of 2023 and sharing some closing thoughts for the year.

No doubt we will be kept bzzzzy until then – so thanks for reading our latest quarterly update and we look forward to sharing more with you in our special end of year edition.

Until then,
From the team atAndreyev Lawyers

Our Great Lawyer Guarantee

We want to be part of your team over the long term. We'll achieve this by sticking closely to the following principles:

  • We'll listen carefully to understand what you want to achieve. Then we'll thoroughly explain our advice and step you through the documents. You can be sure you'll know the full consequences.
  • Our lawyers work as a team, so someone will always be available to answer your questions, or point you in the right direction. You will also benefit from a range of perspectives and experience.
  • One of our key goals is to pass on as much knowledge as we can, so you can make your own informed decisions. We want to make you truly independent.
  • We only do what we're good at. You can be confident that we know what we're doing and won't pass on the cost of our learning.
  • For advice and documents, we provide a fixed or capped quote so you don’t take price risk. If you're in a dispute, we'll map out the process and costs so you know what to expect.
  • We're not in this game for our egos. We're in it for a front row seat to witness your success.

We measure our success on how efficiently we have facilitated your objectives, enhanced your relationships, and reduced the level of stress for all involved.

If we sound like people you can work with, call us now on 1300 654 590 and speak directly with a great lawyer.
