Estate Planning
Everything was explained in layman’s terms
ADLV Law was recommended to me for my estate planning by a colleague who’s been their client for quite some time.
For a complete novice like myself, they tried to make the process as easy as possible. They explained everything in layman’s terms, and I know that if I have any further questions I can call them for clarification. I would recommend ADLV Law for estate planning – they were good, very good.

They took all our concerns into account
We have a daughter with a serious illness, and we were concerned about making sure our daughter was taken care of for the future.
ADLV Law took everything very seriously and took all our concerns into account. I made quite a few phone calls to ask questions and they didn’t charge us extra for it.
ADLV Law were absolutely excellent, and I couldn’t believe how reasonably priced they were! I have already recommended them to friends, I can’t praise them enough.

They helped make my estate planning very simple
When I needed to organise my Will, my financial adviser recommended ADLV Law.
I travel a lot for work and am pretty busy so we started the process over email. ADLV Law gave me information about what was required, asked me what my wishes were, and made recommendations.
We organised my will, and also a power of attorney and enduring guardianship. It was very straightforward and the bulk of the work was done over the phone, which made things easier for me. Once the drafts were done, I proofread them and then went into their office to sign the documents.
The whole process was smooth and simple, I would recommend ADLV Law.

Help during a difficult time
Last year my brother was diagnosed with advanced Alzheimer’s disease.
It was awful. We needed to sell his house and his car and move him interstate, he lived in the ACT and we live in Sydney.
We were in a very awkward situation and we didn’t know what to do. My brother had given me his medical power of attorney, but he hadn’t given me control over his financial affairs, he had left that to the ACT Public Trustee.
Louise is really lovely. I haven’t had anything to do with lawyers before but there wouldn’t be many like her. She was so bright and chirpy. She put us at ease, she explained everything.
ADLV Law wrote the letters for us to the tribunal and then did an update letter for us. The whole thing took about six months and they kept in contact with me to let me know what was happening.
When we had our hearing at the tribunal, there were lawyers and doctors and social workers, it was awful, but after two and a half hours we were finally given legal and medical power of attorney.
ADLV Law was absolutely fantastic, we couldn’t have done it without them.

Probate and estate administration
Probate made easier
As executor of my Mother’s Will, over the last few months I have had the pleasure of having ADLV Law act for me in procuring a Grant of Probate and settlement of the estate.
I should like to say how very fortunate I feel to have had ADLV Law helping me with this. Never having had to perform the duties of executor before, I have, at times found this a stressful procedure. As I live in Queensland and probate needed to be obtained in South Australia, this stress was compounded by needing to negotiate the different laws of respective States in regard to witnessing of documents etc.
I have been so impressed with the help and support I have received from ADLV Law in this process. The clarity and conciseness of their instructions, the speed and efficiency with which they always responded to my emails and phone calls, and their attention to detail has made this whole process so much easier for me.
While being very professional, ADLV Law always treated me with great respect. While I have not had the pleasure of meeting them personally, they presented as genuinely caring, likeable people who have been so approachable at all times. I have felt that they were prepared to walk that extra mile to help their clients.
I would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone, and I wish them every success in the future.

They went out of their way for us
We contacted ADLV Law to help with a probate application.
They were very easy to deal with and very personable at what is an emotional time. They went out of their way, even coming out to us to get some documents signed because it was impossible for me and my sister to be in the same place at the same time.
The probate was fairly straightforward and it all happened quite quickly. I was certainly happy with the service.

They helped us navigate tricky South Australian probate
I live in New South Wales and my sister lives in Queensland. When our Mum died in South Australia her estate was very simple, so I wanted to see if we could do most of it ourselves.
I knew that probate in every state is different. The South Australian court documents have tricky wording and they seem to be very pedantic on certain things. My sister and I thought we’d try and lodge the probate forms ourselves.
I looked on the internet and found the ADLV Law website. I really liked their information and the DIY probate kit, which I downloaded. I called them and got a quote, and their costing was good compared to the other quotes we got so we were pleased.
I used the DIY probate kit to prepare the forms, and then we flew to Adelaide and met with ADLV Law to finalise the application. They were very friendly and calm, and they really helped us out. Their approach was really appreciated, especially at a time of grieving.
During the process, the South Australian courts changed all the probate forms! But ADLV Law helped us out with the new forms, and it all went smoothly.
We had a really good experience with ADLV Law, and we were happy with the costing.

Expertise to help through a difficult process
I’ve known Andrew Andreyev for some time. He’s done other pieces of work for me and has helped me a number of times over the years. ADLV Law also helped years ago with preparing wills for my mother and father.
When my father passed away, Andrew gave me some initial advice, then I decided I really needed their expertise. They certainly helped me through what is a complicated process.
They were very good, very responsive. I was extremely happy with their service. I would recommend them for help with probate and for assistance around structuring and wealth structuring.

We were amazed at how affordable they were
We needed help with a probate application, but when we got a quote from a local law firm it was $5,000 to $6,000 without the court costs. My sister and I thought that seemed a lot so we shopped around.
ADLV Law were recommended to us so we contacted them for some pricing. They were very upfront, and were able to tell us over the phone how much it would be.
We were just absolutely amazed at how affordable they were. I had to do some of the legwork but I was quite happy to do that so that I knew what was going on with the accounts…. Going through the experience made me think about my own will and making sure I took care of my children. The lawyers at ADLV Law were really helpful, gave great advice and pointed out some things that I would never have thought of. And that wasn’t on the bill.
ADLV Law were really sensitive and sincere in their manner. My sister and I were thrilled with the result and the cost, it was a really good experience. I have already recommended ADLV Law to more than one person.

Nothing was too much trouble
ADLV Law first helped me deal with my husband’s estate after his death. I then also got them involved to help with my mother-in-law, who was under care in a nursing home, and with updating my father’s Will.
Every lawyer I’ve dealt with at ADLV Law has been really helpful. They were exceptionally professional, nothing was too much trouble. The lawyer who prepared my father’s Will even went out to his home to see him, which was great because he was 91 years old.
They returned calls promptly, got information when it was required and helped me through the whole process. They were absolutely wonderful at helping a very emotional person at a complicated time.

Wonderful people who have done a wonderful job
I had been made executor of my mother’s will which had been written by estate planning specialists. When my mother died, I phoned their office and spoke to a couple of people there, but I found their responses very unhelpful. They just did not seem interested in assisting me.
This was in complete contrast with ADLV Law.
I found ADLV Law on the internet, and I thought their website had a lot of useful information about the probate process. I was impressed so I called them and set up a meeting.
Because we were dealing with a rural primary-producing property, it was always going to be complicated. There were issues with water quotas, allowances and co-leases which required us to deal with the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources.
I’m very pleased with ADLV Law. I was extremely happy with the process and their common-sense approach. They ensured that both probate and the subsequent property sale were straightforward. It was important to have someone reliable and level-headed to turn to during a very difficult time.
They’re wonderful people and have done a wonderful job all the way through. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend ADLV Law to anyone.

An efficient way to do probate
When my mother passed away, my husband got all the documents together for probate as he’d gone through the process before. However, we knew how particular you had to be with your probate application, so we were looking for a lawyer to help us make sure we had got it right.
We found ADLV Law on the internet. They were really responsive right from the start, in fact, one time I sent an email late at night and they popped an answer back straight away.
When my sister and I went in to see them, we were very impressed. They are professional but also friendly and have a sense of humour, too. They were also very empathetic which is important because it was a hard time emotionally.
And best of all, they got the job done!

Fuss-free and friendly probate assistance
I live in WA, so I didn’t know what to do when I needed a re-seal of a letters of administration grant in SA.
The SA Probate Registry wouldn’t help, and the law firm I’d dealt with before took 3 months to get back to me with a quote and were so unprofessional. It was ridiculous!
In the end I found ADLV Law online. ADLV Law said a lot on their website (we want to take care of all your needs, we want to be a one stop shop, be your family lawyers, etc), and I thought, ‘we’ll see about that…’, so I called them.
I was put straight through to a lawyer who listened to me, told me they had just done a similar job and gave me a price straight away. That just really gave me confidence. They were so approachable and down-to-earth, but also very professional. They did the job well and the fees were reasonable. What more could anyone ask for!
I’m so glad I found ADLV Law. They really lived up to all the claims they made on their website. It’s just been a good experience. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

We felt comfortable and taken care of
I was looking for someone to help with the probate application for my mother’s estate. I found ADLV Law online and read some really good feedback about them, so I decided to give them a call.
They were really lovely and extremely helpful. They gave us a costs estimate straight away which we were happy with. Everything was explained in terms I could understand which was really good because it was a terribly emotional time.
When we left – and left everything with them – we felt very comfortable and glad we’d chosen them. They kept in touch to keep us updated, and the process went through smoothly.

I shall use your services again in the future
I engaged ADLV Law to represent me in a complex deceased estate dispute in NSW that involved valuable farming land and assets and they were able to successfully negotiate a settlement on my behalf. Thanks again to the ADLV Law team for their work. I believe in the saying “you only get what you pay for”. I shall use your services again in the future shall it arise and I will also recommend you and your team to anyone else I know that find themselves in similar situations to mine.

Supportive and empathetic, providing timely advice and guidance
My family has been in the farming industry for several generations. When my mother passed away, I was an executor and named beneficiary in her Will along with my two siblings. My mother left the majority of her assets to me, as my two siblings had been gifted farm assets during my mother’s lifetime. One of my siblings engaged a lawyer to seek a larger portion of what was left of the estate. My primary concern was that court proceedings would be commenced and the assets of my mother’s estate would be wasted in legal fees.
ADLV Law were supportive and empathetic throughout this process. They were able to negotiate a settlement with my sibling and keep the matter out of court. This was a difficult process but ADLV Law provided timely advice and guidance and I was confident that they were doing their utmost to uphold my mother’s wishes. I also appreciated the fact that I only had to attend one meeting at their office in the city and the rest of the negotiations were conducted via email and phone as I live in the country.
An Estate Dispute Client
A good strategy, a good experience and a good outcome
After my father died, the people I had trusted took over our family trust and pushed me out. It was a very emotional time.
I’d had a terrible time dealing with other lawyers in Melbourne. It was awful. I was talked down to or I was asked how cashed up I was. It was a big thing finding the right lawyers. I did weeks of research before I found ADLV Law. I researched them, then flew from Melbourne to Adelaide to meet them.
When we met, they recommended a plan of action and we agreed on the approach. Their level of understanding of the case was brilliant, and they listened to my ideas and input. I felt that we developed a good bond.
For me personally, the biggest thing was being believed, especially after everything I had gone through. They made me feel really supported, there was a strong team around me, and I had their mobiles so I could call them if I needed to…. I believe that the team at ADLV Law are authentic people. They’re not just in it to make money, they genuinely want to help you. They will offer you the appropriate advice as well and tell you if they recommend that you don’t go the way that you have been thinking.
Even when we went to court, I knew that I could trust them to run the matter properly. I could unload and know that they were going to take care of me. In the end, I had a really good experience and a really good outcome. They’re worth every penny.
