Australians are prolific email readers. Or at least, that is what the latest Campaign Monitor (CMO) Email Marketing Benchmarks report seems to suggest. The report found that on average, Australians open more emails than comparative records show for the US, UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
On the other side of the coin, Australians also unsubscribe to more emails than their global counterparts. Why do we care? This report suggests that if our readers don’t think our newsletters are up to scratch, they’ll open them and then promptly unsubscribe!
As many of our long-term supporters know, we’ve been sending out a regular newsletter for years. Our marketing team enjoys curating a selection of legal content, team updates and (what we hope are) interesting infographics for our readers to enjoy. The CMO report has got us thinking about the content we share with our readers, and why we should expect anyone to subscribe (and stay subscribed!) to our newsletter. So, being the lawyers that we are, we thought we’d come up with 5 persuasive and compelling reasons why you should subscribe to our newsletter.
Legal updates hot off the press
We are first and foremost, a law firm. We don’t advise you about accounting, investments, crop rotations or who to vote for; we ‘stick to our knitting’. This means, we only do things that we are experienced in and are insured for – which is law! To be good at what we do, we must be across changes to law that affect our practice and we take this pretty seriously. To keep our readers informed, we regularly circulate current legal updates via our newsletter. If there is something that we really want you to know about, sometimes we’ll schedule an extra newsletter during the week to keep you up to date.
Thought-provoking opinion pieces
You’re not a true ADLV Law newsletter subscriber until you’ve experienced the buzz of opening up your emails on a Sunday morning to a fresh ‘ADLV Law rant’! While our legal updates will give you a practical understanding of legal changes, our opinion and thought pieces offer a fresh perspective on changes to the law and how these may affect you. If you have ever wondered what ‘private and confidential’ really means, whether testamentary trusts are still ‘tax effective’, what we really think about will challenges, and the two phrases we think you should never use in negotiations then by subscribing to our newsletter, you’ll be the first to know next time an opinion or thought piece has been published.
Our regular readers also enjoy our explanatory and educational pieces. If you want to understand how companies work, are intrigued by equity loans, think trusts are just a tax loop hole for the rich or have always wondered what the legal implications of an ‘indemnity’ in a contract are, then our newsletter is the perfect place to release your inner ‘legal eagle’ and learn more about the practical side about how the law works and is applied in different contexts.
We like to keep it interesting
We hinted above that our newsletters aren’t always just words in an email. To keep things fresh, we like to include a mix of video content, good news stories from around the world that you may have missed and infographics that we think are food for thought. By reading our newsletters, you could be the most interesting person at the dinner table!
You can learn more about us and what we’re getting up to
Every few months we like to take a breather and reflect on everything that’s been going on in our world. Our special edition quarterly newsletter updates are your opportunity to get to know our team better. If you are interested in hearing about our latest projects and getting insights into what life at ADLV Law is like, then subscribing to our newsletter is the best way to ensure you get these updates first.
We wouldn’t send you anything we wouldn’t want to read ourselves!
By putting our names to our newsletter, we appreciate that everything we publish reflects on us and our team. You can rest assured that any newsletter you receive from us has been thoughtfully put together, with a view to keeping you informed, entertained and in the loop. One of our team values is ‘continuous improvement’ and we try our best to live by our values. If you have any questions, suggestions or feedback about content you have received in a newsletter we have sent you, you can send it through directly by emailing us and we’ll make sure you receive a response. We’re always open to topics suggestions for new articles, too.
